Komatsu will feature on the playing pants of both teams across the WBBL|07 and BBL|11.
The company is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year following its establishment in Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture in Japan. Across the Oceania region, Komatsu employs over 3,400 people with workplace diversity, innovation, health and safety and corporate social responsibility being key drivers for the business.
Komatsu Australia CEO and Managing Director Sean Taylor said the partnership reinforces Komatsu’s commitment to becoming a leading advocate of diversity, inclusion and equality.
“As we celebrate our 100th anniversary, we are proud to be partnering with the Perth Scorchers – a team that we share a common set of values with.
“Komatsu’s partnership with both the Men’s and Women’s Scorchers teams reflects our strategy to develop a diverse workforce, who face no barriers to doing the best job they can in an environment that supports who they are.”
WA Cricket CEO Christina Matthews said Komatsu was a natural fit for the club and for cricket in WA more broadly.
“We are thrilled to have Komatsu join us. Their commitment to diversity and creating a safe and inclusive environment is core to what we are about here at WA Cricket and the Perth Scorchers.”
