Komatsu Training Academy boast several modern and spacious training facilities designed to cater for the needs of our Construction, Utilities and Mining clients alike. These facilities allow for both accredited and technical courses to be run in a safe and convenient environment. 

Komatsu Technical Education Centre (KTEC) Sherwood

KTEC Sherwood has become Komatsu Australia’s primary training centre for apprentices and technicians in Australia, New Zealand and New Caledonia.

It is one of the region’s most advanced technical training facilities for mining, earthmoving and utility equipment. Located on more than 3 hectares of land, it has more than 2600 sqm of dedicated training facilities, including seven classrooms, seven technical/ electrical laboratories and a large machine workshop.

Located on Brisbane southside, the facility is close to public transport and convenient free off-street parking for students.


Komatsu Technical Education Centre (KTEC) Welshpool

KTEC Welshpool is the latest of Komatsu’s Training Academy’s facilities. Located within the expansive Komatsu Welshpool site, this state-of-the-art facility boasts 7 fully featured classrooms with 3 specialised technical laboratories.

With the ability to handle the largest of our mining vehicles, this facility allows Western Australian clients to train with a lead manufacturer of equipment. This facility is located being alongside one of our largest manufacturing, servicing and distribution hubs nationally, and caters for both accredited and technical training.

Located only 15 minutes from Perth airport, this facility suits the needs of both local and FIFO clients alike. With free off-street parking and close by public transport, this facility allows for easy access to training for all our students.
