WHINCUP WINS FOURTH CLIPSAL 500

TeamVodafone's Jamie Whincup has won his fourth Clipsal 500 in a dramatic finale to the 2011 event.

minute contest.

The victory, which is Whincup's 44th career win, sees him further extend his lead in the championship to sit 144 points clear of Mark Winterbottom.

Teammate Craig Lowndes endured a tough day; a punctured tyre, pitlane incident and drive-thru penalty saw him spend the day see-sawing up and down the order.

The TeamVodafone driver who eventually finished 12th will now head to Mount Panorama for Vodafone's driver swap experience where he will switch seats with Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver Jenson Button on Tuesday 22nd March

Both will pilot their respective cars around the track before swapping seats, with Button behind the wheel of the TeamVodafone V8 Supercar and Lowndes gearing up for his first ever drive in a Formula 1 car the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4-23.

The next event on the V8 Supercar calendar is the non-championship F1 Qantas Australian Grand Prix on March 24-27.
