Komatsu’s Matt Presland will run the SMH Half Marathon to raise awareness for Running For Premature Babies, a registered Australian charity dedicated to a better chance of survival for premature babies.
1 in 10 babies in Australia are born prematurely with various risks and complications associated with premature birth that can lead to life-long health issues or in some cases death. Komatsu has donated $10,000 to Running For Premature Babies.

About Running For Premature Babies
Set up in 2006 following the deaths of their three triplet sons Henry, Jasper and Evan, parents Sophie and Ash Smith started organising teams to run the SMH Half Marathon in Sydney each year to raise funds for life saving equipment and research for the NICU at the Royal Hospital for Women. They now have teams in the SMH Half Marathon each May, the City2Surf each August, the Brisbane Marathon Festival each August and a fun run for kids in Coogee near their triplets birthday in August each year.
