Komatsu Group’s Support for Countermeasures Against Coronavirus Infections

We express our sincere condolences to the people who have lost loved ones to COVID-19. We also wish a speedy and full recovery to all those who are currently infected by the virus. We extend our sincere appreciation to those who are making their utmost efforts to prevent infections from spreading.

Komatsu Ltd. (President & CEO: Hiroyuki Ogawa) is going to make Komatsu group-wide support, in light of the current conditions, such as shortage of medical equipment and foods, in the following countries.
 

Japan 

・Donation of 100,000 surgical masks (N95) from our stockpile to Japanese Red Cross Society, national and municipal governments, medical institutions, etc. 

・Support to our suppliers which manufacture medical equipment (face masks, protective gowns, face shields, etc.) 


U.S.A. 

Donations worth USD350,000 in total 

・USD250,000 jointly with employees to Feeding America, a hunger relief organization 

・USD100,000 to local communities 


Chile 

Sanitation of streets using cistern trucks (in collaboration with the government)

In addition to the above efforts, we are looking into support for medical organizations in Europe and other support measures in other regions, which meet the needs of different countries.

Komatsu Group will continue make efforts in response to the polices of different countries, as we continue to place top priority on the health and safety of our customers, local residents and our employees.
