DOW JONES SUSTAINABILITY AGAIN FOR KOMATSU

Komatsu Ltd has once again been selected as a component of the Dow Jones Sustainability World Indexes (DJSI) again this year, the second year in a row.

Hybrid-x2-(1).pngThe DJSI is the world's leadingcorporate social responsibility index,and has been developed jointlyby the US-based Dow Jones andSustainability Asset Management(SAM) Group, a research and ratingcompany in Switzerland.For DJSI selection, companiesare analysed and evaluatedacross a diverse range offactors covering the three areasof economic performance,environmental conservationefforts and social activities.

In 2011, Dow Jones and SAMsurveyed a total of 2500 majorcompanies around the world, fromwhich 342 companies were selected,including 25 Japanese companies.
