2024 Scholarships
Komatsu is excited to announce we are launching our new scholarship program. The scholarship is open to female final year engineering undergraduates studying either mechanical, mechatronics or electrical engineering at University of Queensland, Queensland University of Technology, University of Wollongong, Western Sydney University and Edith Cowan University.
Five applicants will be selected to receive a $26,000 scholarship for their last year of tertiary study to start in the first Semester of 2024. In addition, the scholarship offers employment at Komatsu with the ability to work in our engineering teams during Uni leave breaks. The successful applicants will be chosen on her commitment to a career in engineering; her involvement in work experience and community service; leadership potential; and academic achievements.

Who can apply?
The Komatsu scholarships are open to domestic female students studying in the five universities list above, that are studying full time in Australia and are an Australian citizen or resident.

Selection Criteria
All applications for the scholarship must be submitted with the required documentation. In addition, selection will be based on factors including:
• Academic record.
• Relevant professional experience.
• Relevant scholarly publications.
• Academic references.
Successful applicants will receive the following support to assist them in gaining their qualification:
• Financial Scholarship support to help with the costs associated with studying.
• Employment where you can work during your study leave.
• Mentoring from senior Komatsu leaders.
• Customised professional development programs.
• Networking and partnership opportunities.
• Matriculation into the Komatsu Graduate Development Program

1. Current Curriculum Vitae (CV).
2. Proof of enrolment or application at an Australian university or tertiary level training institute; and
3. Testamur of courses completed and grades.
Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview. Successful applicants will be contacted within 4 weeks after closing date.
